WARDROBE & STYLING

Choose What Makes You Feel Fabulous

Studio Wardrobe: I have a selection of sheer fabrics and robes that I frequently use in my sessions, and they'll be available for you to incorporate into your photoshoot.

Lingerie: Opt for pieces that highlight your favorite features. Whether you love lace, silk, or something more daring, the key is to wear what makes you feel beautiful. Some of my favorite vendors are below.

  • Oversized Shirts: An oversized shirt can be a great starting point for a modest to not so modest look. You’ll want to get XL or XXL in white or preferred color for an oversized look.

  • Kimonos: I also have a couple of these in studio, but they are so beautiful you just might want your own.

  • Savage, Negative Underwear, Third Love, skims, Chantelle, Bare Necessities: all have fabulous lingerie and slips.

  • Strapless Bra: select a well fitting strapless bra that has a flattering but along the bust.

  • Stockings: Stockings can add a fun and unexpected element.

Variety: Bring a mix of outfits to add variety to your shoot—think about different colors, textures, and styles. A classic bra and panty set, a bodysuit, or even an oversized sweater can create different looks.

Accessories: Don’t forget the little extras! Statement jewelry, stockings, or even a delicate robe can elevate your look.

Fit: Ensure your outfits fit well and make you feel comfortable. Avoid anything too tight or too loose, as this can affect how you feel and how the outfit looks on camera.

Personal Touches: Bring something personal—like a favorite piece of clothing or an item that has sentimental value. It can add a unique touch to your photos.

SELF-CARE TIPS

Pamper Yourself

Skin: A few days before the shoot, exfoliate and moisturize your skin to give it a healthy glow. Avoid trying new skincare products right before the session to prevent any unexpected reactions.

Hair and Makeup: If needed, schedule appointments for cut and/or color a week or so before your photoshoot. If you’re doing your own hair and makeup yourself; consider going with your everyday look so you feel like yourself, and practice beforehand to achieve the look you want. If you’ve opted for professional hair and makeup we’ll discuss the details with the artist prior to your shoot.

Nails: Neat, well-groomed nails are essential. Whether you go for a natural look or a bold color, make sure they’re camera-ready.

Nutrition: Try to steer clear of alcohol and sugar in the days leading up to your photoshoot to minimize inflammation. Instead, load up on fresh veggies for that healthy glow.

Hydrate: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your shoot. Hydrated skin looks healthier and more vibrant.

Rest: A good night’s sleep before your session is crucial. Rested eyes and a fresh complexion will make you feel and look your best.

MINDSET

Embrace the Experience

Nerves are Normal: It's completely normal to feel a bit nervous before a boudoir photoshoot—most women do! Remember, this is a new experience, and those nerves are just a sign that you care about the outcome. Trust in the process, and know that I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way, giving you all the space you need to work through your nervous energy.

Positive Affirmations: Before your session, spend a few moments focusing on positive affirmations. Remind yourself of your beauty, strength, and confidence.

Relaxation Techniques: Practice deep breathing or meditation to calm any pre-shoot nerves. The more relaxed you are, the more natural and beautiful your photos will be.

Trust the Process: Remember, I’m here to guide you and help you feel comfortable. Trust the experience, and don’t be afraid to express any ideas or concerns you have.

Celebrate Yourself: This session is about celebrating you. Embrace your body, your uniqueness, and your journey. Let go of any insecurities and enjoy the moment.

Embrace the Feels: A boudoir photoshoot can be an emotional experience, as it often touches on deep feelings of vulnerability, self-confidence, and personal identity. For many, it’s a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, revealing parts of themselves they may not have fully embraced before. It’s natural for a range of emotions to surface—from excitement and joy to nervousness and introspection. This process can be incredibly liberating, allowing you to connect with your inner strength and beauty in a meaningful way. Embrace these emotions as part of the experience; they’re what make your session uniquely yours.
